The new features help retailers in giving better experience to the customers. They can now deploy omni-channel capabilities that bridge their ecommerce platform with their point-of-sale and back-office systems.
The new features include: multi-location inventory visibility online, ship-to-store and reserve online for local pickup. The addition of these new features will not only help the retailers but also the customers to easily find the items they need online and the details of the shop that has stock in no time. This feature can also be leveraged by the retailer to allow consumers to identify products at a brick-and-mortar location that can be delivered to another location for pickup. Ship-to-store similarly allows shoppers to identify products online and have them shipped to their local store. With the reserve online feature, shoppers can find their product in-stock at a location and reserve it for pickup.
The new feature-set serves to not just the larger retailers that invest huge amounts but it also enables mid-sized and smaller retailers to easily deploy these features and meet the new consumer expectations.
